22nd Annual Conference of the States Organization for Boating Access (SOBA)
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries and Virginia Department of Health are proud to host the 22nd Annual SOBA Conference at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Virginia, October 13-16, 2008. The conference attracts over 200 State program specialists, boating and marine related manufacturers, engineers, materials specialty industry, construction contractors, educators, and administrators representing state and federal agencies, natural resources consulting firms, private and non-profit companies and other boating organizations. Overview
The International Submerged Lands Management Conference spotlighted the issues surrounding the administration of submerged lands and adjacent uplands. Conference sessions focused on the opportunities, successes, and challenges facing managers of submerged lands and resources. Attendees met with land and resource managers from other states and countries, in order to share their experiences and gain new perspective.
